Stanley Cohen
Stanley Cohen was born in 1933 in Bahrain. The family spoke Iraqi Judeo-Arabic at home and in his interview he describes the small Jewish community in Bahrain as an offshoot of the Baghdadi Jewish Community. Stanley attended boarding school in Brighton from the age of ten. After finishing school he briefly moved back to Bahrain, and then settled in London. In his interview he told many anecdotal stories of daily life to illustrate the close nature of his family and the good relations between Muslims and Jews in Bahrain.
