Vera Salama
Vera Salama was born in 1930 in Alexandria, Egypt. She speaks about a rich cultural life in Egypt, and her grandfather who founded a synagogue opposite his house. She was forced to leave Egypt in 1956 with her husband and young son. She speaks about the Board of Deputies and the help they gave to her family on their arrival in England.
